Dr. Seropian is a practicing pediatric anesthesiologist and Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Seropian has more than 19 years of experience in simulation education development and training. He has since developed and designed multiple simulation facilities and has been instrumental in developing multiple simulation collaboratives and ventures. He is currently Director of Simulation for the Department of Anesthesiology. He has published extensively and trained hundreds of individuals across professions in the use of simulation-based methods. Dr. Seropian is a founding member and a past Chair of the Oregon Simulation Alliance. He has worked with multiple professions to promote simulation as a vehicle to enhance and promote inter-professionalism. He completed his tenure as President of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare in 2011. During that time he promoted policies and projects that would further enhance the global simulation community across professions and sectors. Dr. Seropian is currently the President of the Global Network for Simulation in Healthcare (GNSH) and Treasurer of the International Pediatric Simulation Society. He also sits on the American Society of Anesthesiology Editorial Board on simulation education. Dr. Seropian is internationally recognized for his work across professions to promote inter-professional education and opportunity. He is eager to see simulation education programs develop successfully, irrespective of discipline or specialty.
