Michael A. Seropian, M.D., FRCPC

Dr. Michael Seropian MD, FRCPC is President of the SimHealth Group. He is a practicing pediatric anesthesiologist and Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Seropian has more than 20 years of experience in simulation education development and training. He has since developed and designed multiple simulation facilities and has been instrumental in developing multiple simulation collaboratives and ventures. He is currently Director of Simulation for the Department of Anesthesiology. He has published extensively and trained hundreds of individuals across professions in the use of simulation-based methods. Dr. Seropian is a founding member and a past Chair of the Oregon Simulation Alliance. He has worked with multiple professions to promote simulation as a vehicle to enhance and promote inter-professionalism. He just completed his tenure as President of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. During that time he promoted policies and projects that would further enhance the global simulation community across professions and sectors. Dr. Seropian is now the Past-President of the Society. He also sits on the American Society of Anesthesiology Editorial Board on simulation education. Dr. Seropian is internationally recognized for his work across professions to promote inter-professional education and opportunity. He is eager to see simulation education programs develop successfully, irrespective of discipline or specialty.

Bonnie Driggers RN, MS, MPA

Bonnie Driggers, R.N., M.S., M.P.A., Professor Emeritus at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). Bonnie served as the Director of Clinical Teaching Systems and Programs for the OHSU School of Nursing and was the Co-Director of the OHSU Simulation and Clinical Learning Center for several years. In these roles she worked in partnership with the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education (OCNE), OHSU and other health systems and educational programs to design interdisciplinary clinical learning opportunities utilizing simulation as an adjunct to clinical experiences that support the competencies required for healthcare practitioners. As Co-Director of the OCNE Clinical Education Model Project she focused on the redesign of clinical education in nursing for the consortium. The model includes the use of simulation as one of several clinical learning activities.

Ms. Driggers was a founding member and past chair of the Oregon Simulation Alliance, a statewide network of simulation facilities. She served on the Governing Council of the Alliance for many years. Along with Dr. Michael Seropian she co-authored the "Oregon Simulation Readiness Report" which presented a comprehensive look at desire and readiness for simulation education in Oregon.

Currently, in partnership with Dr. Michael Seropian, Ms. Driggers provides simulation education and consultation in the areas of simulation education, program development, implementation and facility design. In addition, she has co-authored many publications related to simulation, presented multiple keynote addresses nationally and internationally, and is a regular Post Graduate presenter at the International Meeting for Simulation in Health Care (IMSH). She recently served as the Co-Chair the IMSH meeting in 2011 and is a current member of the SSH Certification committee. She served on Executive Director Search Committee for SSH in 2011. In January 2012 Ms. Driggers was appointed to SSH Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Our firm is unique and staffed by individuals who are or have been active practioners, simulation educators and leaders in the use of simulation in healthcare internationally. We are a multi-professional organization with representatives from Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health professionals. Our educational programs and consultation are based upon our experience and expertise in simulation and the specific needs of our clients.
